Coming into January I like to pause, reflect over the past year and take time out before the new year really begins! Christmas is over, all the parties are finished, businesses are slowly revving back up which leaves this magical space to actively do nothing 🙂
“What does rest mean to you?”
For me that involves journalling, stalking my local cafe, spring cleaning and reading my Kindle whilst watching Netflix (hidden skill that one!!)…what does rest mean to you? Do you take time to reflect on the past year: Remember what you really enjoyed, rethink areas that didn’t work out as well as you’d hoped?
Giving our brains a break from the normal pace of life is rejuvenating, keeps us fresh and recharges our batteries. If you never stop, you will eventually be forced to and likely have sustained an injury. Proper rest and recovery is super important.
